William spengler

William Spengler apparently wrote in his suicide note that a neighbor's daughter helped him buy the guns.
"I kind of thought he was lonely and wanted to talk to somebody," one neighbor recalls about William Spengler, who shot four firefighters and started a blaze that destroyed 7 homes on Christmas Eve.
"It was a raging inferno in there," Police Chief Gerald Pickering said during a press conference yesterday.
He left behind a two- to three-page typewritten note.
Firefighters Joseph Hofstetter and Theodore Scardino are in guarded condition but are expected to survive yesterday's ambush. But Police Lt. Mike Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka–Chiapperini's son's best friend–were sadly not so lucky.
