The MTA's most recent fare hike went into effect on Sunday, and advocates are offering free subway swipes in low-income communities of color across the five boroughs today to mark the first pricier Monday commute.

The #SwipeItForward Campaign is seeking to draw attention to the large number of people of color ticketed or arrested for fare evasion.
