Stray bullet

An 11-year-old boy and a 31-year-old man were injured when the gunman opened fire.
A plainclothes cop shot the bystander in Mount Vernon in 2015 during a sting gone wrong.
The shooting occurred a few blocks from the NYPD precinct.
She is in stable condition.
"It was insane. You can’t even ride a city bus."
A 12-year-old girl was shot in the head by a stray bullet while sitting in her living room in her home in Long Island yesterday.
Apparently there was a gun fight at 3:30 p.m. and the bullet traveled more than a block away.
Witnesses say six shots were fired.
“This is not a homicide,” said lawyer Matthew Cohen, representing 20-year-old suspect Stanley Williams. “Even the alleged injury is not that severe. I think this is a very weak case against him.”
The father of the boy hopes to move out of the Bed-Stuy housing project.
A 9-year-old girl was shot in the foot by a stray bullet while walking home from church: “The ambulance driver man said if that was him, he would be crying. He said I was strong.”
“We are so happy to hear they got someone, but it’s sad that it’s a teenager. It’s just a child,” said 8-year-old Armando Bigo's mom Ely Flores.
