Specialized high school

In a school system whose total enrollment is 41% Latino, 26% Black, 16% Asian and 15% white, the specialized high schools have grown disproportionately Asian and white over the past years.

Nearly 60 percent of the students Stuyvesant are male, and boys make up 67 percent of the student body at the High School for Mathematics, Science and Engineering at City College.
