Following a few months of R&R, The Pennsy, the food hall located adjacent to Penn Station and MSG, reopened with some brand new vendors and a big new bar from the team behind the award-winning The Dead Rabbit. The fancy food court added three new vendors to the lineup from the opening squad, which included Cinnamon Snail, Pat LaFrieda and The Little Beet.

THE PENNSY BARHPH, the hospitality group that owns Dead Rabbit along with Pier A and French-themed food hall Le District, now has a stake in this revamped food hall that includes running the on-site bar. The bar itself is quite large, but alcohol is welcome anywhere in the space, including the outdoor patio and al fresco "stadium" seating (click the last photo above). Cocktails are NYC-themed, like the Big Apple (Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Whiskey, Martinelli's Apple Cider, Black Walnut Bitters, $14) and the Pennloma (El Jimador Tequila, Cinnamon Syrup, San Pellegrino Pompelmo, Lime Juice, $12). Expect to pay $6 for a Budweiser.

RIBALTA The downtown pizzeria known for Neapolitan pies that are sometimes topped with hot dogs and fries brings personal-sized pizza pies to their new Pennsy location. Guests can build their own pies from three different bases and a selection of cheeses, veggies or meats; or opt for a signature pizza ($14) like the Speck with asparagus spread, speck, mozzarella and parmigiana. Panini, salads, meatballs and tiramisu are also on offer.

SABI SUSHI There's quite a bit more to the menu here than just rolls, but those do come in vegetarian and classic options like California ($5.75) and Shrimp Tempura ($5.75) in addition to special rolls like Knick ($10.50), a crab and tobiko roll with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, bass and shrimp on the outside. From there the menu runs all over the place with Banh Mi sandwiches ($10.56), rice bowls, dumplings, and noodles, including a make your own soup option ($10.95) with a choice of noodles (rice, soba, udon, wonton) and meats (chicken, beef balls, shrimp).

THE CINNAMON SNAIL Adam Sobel and his crew have found their niche in food halls and return with The Pennsy's reopening. Pasta's a new theme with the new menu, which includes Baked Ziti ($6) with smoked sage seitan sausage and roasted garlic marinara and a Smoked Sage Seitan Burger ($12) that's topped with that ziti plus marinated kale, smoked chili coconut bacon and roasted garlic aioli on a grilled pretzel bun.

TACO DUMBO This is where to go for "healthy" Southern Cali cuisine like Grain Bowls ($14), Spice-Rubbed Cauliflower tacos ($4) and cold-pressed juices. The juices also serve as a base for the restaurant's margaritas, with a choice of liquor (there's tequila but also vodka, rum and sake) and a juice combo like cucumber-mint, lime-orange or pineapple-turmeric.

THE LITTLE BEETThis fleet of bowl-based restaurants are lunchtime go-tos for Midtown worker bees looking for protein and veggie-packed meals. You'll find the same here, like the Avo Fresh ($11.35) that includes half a grilled avocado plus broccolini, beets, lentils, walnut red pepper spread, and turmeric toasted almonds. There are DIY options from dozens of ingredients from rices to veggies to proteins and sauces.

PAT LAFRIEDA The renowned and now ubiquitous meat man returns post-revamp with plenty of flesh to go around. There are hot sandwiches like Grandpa's Meatball ($12), cold sandwiches like the Italian Sub ($14) loaded up with cured meats, provolone cheese and peppers, and what's being touted as the "World's Greatest Hot Dog" ($4.95). Barbecue plates, charcuterie plates and a light Caesar Salad ($9) are also on the menu.
