Revenge porn

New York could become the 42nd state to enact legislation combating the nonconsensual dissemination of intimate images.

After years of stalled efforts at the state level, New York City is now pursing its own legislation to criminalize "revenge porn."

The demand is unprecedented in the U.S., although in Europe courts are forcing search engines to remove results.

"I think it's one of the lowest things one person can do to another. We want to deter that conduct and we want to hold people accountable."

"The Court concludes that defendant's conduct, while reprehensible, does not violate any of the criminal statutes under which he is charged."

Following in the footsteps of California, there's now a push to criminalize revenge porn in New York.
