Red light cameras

Only a small fraction of NYC's streets have red-light cameras, which give tickets to speeders and prevent speeding.

He claims he's doing it all on behalf of senior citizens, veterans, and people with big balls. Or as he puts it in the video below, "No Games, Just Balls."

To cite an ancient proverb, what is the sound of one tabloid movie critic with nothing to write about? Answer: a lot of unsubstantiated bitching about traffic cameras.

"Speed cameras are no substitute for live policing," the President of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association said.

The Bloomberg administration thinks it does.

Monmouth County assemblyman Declan O'Scanlon believes that red light cameras are a scam: "They're ATMs in reverse—your money goes in and it never comes out."

A chicken in every pot, a car in every garage and a red-light camera on every corner!

So don't be surprised when even more show up soon enough.
