The massacre in Orlando definitely had an sobering effect on parts of the day, but the more than 1.6 million people that lined the streets still celebrated the LGBTQ community.
An emotional moment of silence for those killed in Orlando was followed by the arrival of Edie Windsor, the hero in overturning DOMA two years ago, to the front of the march.
"An apology? I don't think that's necessary."
