Officer shot

Police said Officer Brian Mulkeen was shot three times, but that the suspect's weapon had not been fired.

An police officer suffered a nonfatal injury after being shot in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn late Thursday afternoon.

Police returned fire, injuring the suspect. Police also say they found other illegal guns in the suspect's apartment.
