Janes carousel

The carousel, which was restored by Jane Walentas and brought to Brooklyn in 2011, was originally built in 1922.

Last night some stunning photos of Jane's Carousel taking on water were circulating. This morning, we went to check on it.

"First two blocks of DUMBO from the water now underwater."

At the tail end of an especially gloomy afternoon, the lights of Jane’s Carousel exuded a warm, happy glow at the inaugural spin in Brooklyn Bridge Park today.

The handcrafted Jane's Carousel horses have officially taken over the former home of a fallen willow tree cut down in its prime. Will they be haunted?
