A petition to reconfigure the decorations has been launched by a New Jersey man who says 'this one small thing triggers anyone with the slightest hint of OCD every time they enter the city.'
Port Authority police nabbed a man they called "a regular toll violator" this morning, after he'd bypassed almost 1,000 tolls.
"They saw all the decals and the painting basically espousing their Second Amendment rights and that's why they stopped them."
Among the items found: "a pump action shotgun with a pistol grip and collapsible stock; an SAR-98 Salamander Arms assault rifle; seven clips of ammunition for the rifle; four 9mm pistols; and a .45 caliber pistol with several magazines."
Apparently they said they were headed to NYC "to save a friend who is on heroin and being held against her will."
Officers also recovered two clear plastic vials of what "appeared" to be cocaine on her person.
No one was hurt, though traffic was briefly snarled.
