Grand forks

Grand Banks opens with food, cocktails, wine and beer on Thursday, July 3rd.
Earlier this year, 86-year-old Grand Forks food critic Marilyn Hagerty stole our hearts after a review of her local Olive Garden went massively viral—now, she's been awarded the 2012 Al Neuharth Excellence in Media Award.
Thanks to noted Olive Garden hater Anthony Bourdain, we'll be able to buy a book filled with Marilyn Hagerty's no-nonsense reviews at our local Urban Outfitters in the near future.
"P.S. This, too, shall pass. I soon will take my hammer named Margo and go down to the river. There I will meditate on the 15 years that have passed since the flood of 1997."
"I dont know exactly what put us here—something about a virus. I went viral. If that's what it takes to get a trip to NY, I might go viral more often!"
Times Square Olive Garden, get ready: Grand Forks food critic and internet meme Marilyn Hagerty is coming your way. And she's bringing Anderson Cooper along with her.
"By the way, her readers will recognize that as a fairly negative review since she spent a lot more time on the ambience than the food," said a former Grand Forks Herald editor.
We're sick and tired of Grand Forks snobs trying to dictate food trends for the entire nation. So it comes to this—how do NYC's Olive Gardens stack up against Grand Forks' "beautiful," "impressive" Olive Garden?
