Five cyclists have been killed in dooring incidents over the last sixteen months in NYC.

"No person shall open the door of a motor vehicle on the side available to moving traffic unless and until it is reasonable safe to do so."

In September 2010, Jasmine Herron, 23, was biking along Atlantic Avenue when motorist Krystal Francis allegedly opened the door of her parked car, sending Herron swerving into the street and under a B45 bus.

This short but sweet video shows the NYPD dooring a cyclist near Grand Central Terminal. The collision cut the biker's knee open, and would you be surprised to hear the cops didn't kiss it and make it better.
