Deficit crisis

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped as much as 515 points today, and has plummeted below 11000 for the first time since November of 2010.

The president is scheduled to make his case tonight, without Boehner's support, for the larger deal to House leaders, cutting $4 trillion of the deficit by cutting entitlements and raising taxes. It's likely to fail.
