Thirty-two demonstrators, including activist and Princeton professor Cornel West, were purposefully arrested yesterday in Harlem at an Occupy Wall Street-related protest against the NYPD's controversial stop-and-frisk policy.
Cornel West and more than a dozen other Occupy Wall Street protesters were arrested today in Harlem during a civil disobedience protest against the NYPD's stop-and-frisk policy.
Across the nation, hundreds of protesters were arrested as cops clashed with demonstrators in Chicago, Phoenix, Denver and Raleigh. And in D.C. earlier today, Dr. Cornel West was arrested at the Supreme Court.
Dr. Cornel West has become the third celebrity in the past 24 hours to visit the Occupy Wall Street protests in Zuccotti Park. Michael Moore and Susan Sarandon both paid their respects to the demonstrators.
