The man who swam the Gowanus earlier this year has just taken a 4.5 hour dip in Newtown Creek.
Really though, it would be pretty great if the canal actually was clean enough to swim in. Get on that DEP.
On Saturday, Swain will take another crack at his long-delayed dream, this time firmly committed to completing the entire 1.8-mile swim through the sludge.
