"After allegedly walking away from Ms. Gustern as she laid on the ground bleeding, Lauren Pazienza went to great lengths to avoid accountability for her actions," said Manattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Lauren Pazienza, 26, is accused of fatally shoving 87-year-old Barbara Maier Gustern earlier this month.

"Today, at 11:15 a.m., we have lost one of the brightest little flames to ever grace this world," 87-year-old Barbara Maier Gustern's family wrote on Facebook.
