A 35-year-old Brooklyn man has been charged in connection with the death of his 29-year-old girlfriend and the mother of his 2-year-old son, after she was ejected from his moving vehicle in Bay Ridge on Thursday night.

Police have hit Andrew Berkowitz, 35, with a slew of charges, including manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and driving while intoxicated. Berkowitz's long-time girlfriend, Danielle Aronsen, tumbled out of the back seat of his car on Bay Ridge Parkway on Thursday night—the two had reportedly been out drinking and got into an argument afterwards. Police say Berkowitz was driving erratically and made a sharp turn right before Aronsen flew out of his 2002 GMC Envoy—he did not stop when Aronsen was ejected, and cops say he took a few minutes to return to where she fell. He refused a Breathalyzer at the scene, according to police.

Berkowitz and Aronsen had a two-year-old son together named Andrew. "He doesn’t know anything,” Aronsen's father, Scott Aronsen, told the Daily News. “He’s two.” Her father, who lives in Sunset Park, told the Post that his daughter "was a good girl...She was raising a beautiful child, doing the right thing."
