Alternate side parking

Newly-appointed Sanitation Commissioner Jessica Tisch said alternate side parking rules would be restored to their twice-weekly schedule beginning on July 5th.
Alternate side parking is suspended for continued snow removal and 600 workers are working to clear pedestrian areas and bike lanes.
"We're about to make the biggest change to alternate side parking in the last two decades: New Yorkers only have to move their cars once a week."
There is a possibility it will be extended beyond that. "We'll see how it goes," de Blasio said.
"It will take a lot of work to get the city up and running for Monday."
The City Council voted unanimously yesterday to do away with those despised shame stickers that city Sanitation enforcers slap on cars violating alternate-side street cleaning rules.
