The World Trade Center Memorial competition deadline for entries passed yesterday afternoon. The Times reports that the entries will probably exceed those for the Vietnam Veterans Memmorial's competition. The design will have to work with Daniel Libeskind's design as well, setting off another round of debate about whether or not designs will retain their artistic vision (probably, but not without debate from Larry Silverstein most likely). The accepted design will be announce in October.
