A worker who had been caulking the glass windows on the roof of the Metropolitan Museum's Temple of Dendur exhibit fell through the glass ceiling to his death this morning. The Temple of Dendur is one of the Met's more popular exhibits, with ruins from an Eqyptian temple set in a beautiful, light filled space (the Temple of Dendur figures prominently in films like When Harry Met Sally, Main in Manhattan, A Perfect Murder and Bonfire of the Vanities). Newsday reports the exhibit was closed and the patrons who witnessed the fall were being questioned.
