All work has stopped at a Bronx waste transfer station where a female torso and leg were found this morning.

Police say that around 4:45 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call about human remains found at the Metropolitan Transfer Station. (The facility, at 287 Halleck Street, handles trash sorting.) The cops "discovered a torso and leg of an unidentified adult female," according to the NYPD.

A worker at the trash station told NBC New York "all work was stopped... to assist in the police investigation."

There are no arrests yet. The Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.
