The police are looking for a man who suddenly attacked a woman in an apartment building elevator yesterday morning.
According to the NYPD, a 57-year-old woman was in the elevator of a building near East 156th Street and Third Avenue in the Bronx along with the alleged attacker. At one point he "suddenly slashed her several times about the face with an unknown object," police say, before he fled.
The victim was treated at a hospital for her injuries. Police say the suspect is a male who is approximately 40 years-old, 5'8" and as last seen wearing a black jacket, but there's video of him in the elevator, including when he attacked:
