A woman and two children were struck by a van this afternoon in South Williamsburg. According to police, the woman and the two girls, one 3 years old, the other only 8 months old, were hit at around 2:04 p.m. crossing Williamsburg Street East as the vehicle traveled south on Wythe Avenue. All three victims were transported to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition.
An NYPD spokesman said the driver of the van was taken into custody, but no charges have been filed as of yet. We'll update as more information becomes available.
