A 26-year-old woman was shot in the arm while exiting a cab on the Lower East Side early Sunday morning, police said.

According to cops, the gunman fired from a bicycle and hit the woman in the left arm just as she was stepping out of the car. The incident happened around 5 a.m. on Rivington Street between Essex and Ludlow, police said.

The woman was transported to Bellevue Hospital and is likely to survive. The gunman fled in an unknown direction.

It's unclear whether the shooter intended to hit the woman.
