The NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad is investigating a reported rape that occurred yesterday morning in south of Kissena Park.

The rape took place at 6:22 a.m., according to the NYPD, who say that police officers responded to a 911 call about the incident at 10:45 a.m. Police say the victim told them she was walking along the Horace Harding Expressway near 168th Street hours earlier "when an unidentified male grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her before fleeing northbound on Horace Harding Expressway."

She was reportedly on her way to work.

The authorities described the suspect as a black male in his 40s, about 6' and 180 pounds, with a slim build, clean shaven face and short hair, last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
