The police are searching for a man accused of raping a woman in a Gramercy bar bathroom stall on Saturday night.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at the Turnmill Bar at 119 East 27th Street, at 7:45 p.m. A 23-year-old woman was inside the bar when "the suspect grabbed the victim by the throat and raped her inside of a bathroom stall in the woman's bathroom." The Post reports that the suspect had been hiding in another stall.

The suspect fled and the victim was treated at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Police released video of the suspect, describing him as 45-55 years old, 5'8"-5'10", 150-175 pounds with brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and black framed glasses.

One female patron of the bar expressed concern about the bathroom's location, telling the Post, "When you have bathrooms downstairs, it isolates the victim from everybody else. You’re more prone to attract sketchy people down there."
