A woman was fatally struck by a southbound 1 train in upper Manhattan yesterday morning—according to police she fell while walking between subway cars.

Sources tell the Post that 54-year-old Lorraine Ogarro "was crushed at around 10:30 a.m. after she lost her footing while stepping from one car to another on a downtown 1 train as it rumbled into the 207th Street station."

Walking between subway cars is prohibited by the MTA and those who are caught will be given $75 fines. In 2011, a man died when he fell into the gap between two subway cars and in 2013 a G train rider was injured after tumbling between two train cars.

Seven people have been fatally struck by trains this year.
