A Brooklyn woman was killed at the Prospect Park B and Q station after jumping onto the track bed. The Post reports, "The unidentified woman, who had entered the subway station on the wrong side of the tracks, was struck by a train at around 5:30 a.m. when she climbed onto the track bed to catch her train, rather than exiting and reentering the subway station." Just last month a man was killed after jumping onto the elevated tracks at the 36th Avenue N stop in Queens. NYC Transit spokesman Paul Browne said most people miscalculate how fast a train is coming, and often can't make it off the tracks in time.
