A 33-year-old woman committed suicide Wednesday around midnight after eating at a rooftop bar in Midtown, police said.

The unnamed woman's credit card was reportedly declined at Bookmarks, a rooftop bar at the Library Hotel on Madison Avenue and East 41st Street. She then wrote the names of relatives to contact after her death on a piece of paper, then climbed up on a ledge and jumped, falling 14 stories.

Police reportedly arrived shortly before she jumped but were not able to stop her. She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
