A 25-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a delivery truck driver in the West Village early this morning. According to police, the woman was struck on Hudson Street and West 10th Street around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Witnesses told the News that the woman was running across West 10th Street during last night's rain storm. It's unclear if she had the right of way, but police told the News the driver "never saw the woman and they don't suspect any criminality."
The 63-year-old driver stayed at the scene, and has not been charged. The woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she is in critical condition.
