A woman was fatally run over while crossing Bruckner Boulevard at East 138th Street in the Bronx last night shortly before 8 p.m. According to police, Denise Lippin, 56, was crossing Bruckner Boulevard from the east when she was struck by the driver of a 2012 Nissan Sentra headed southbound on Bruckner.

Investigators say Lippin suffered severe trauma to the head, arm, and leg, and was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver has not been charged, but an NYPD spokesperson confirmed this morning that the investigation is ongoing.

Earlier this year a 50-year-old woman was critically injured at the same intersection after a driver allegedly ran her over on purpose because she yelled at him for driving recklessly.
