A 29-year-old woman fell over 30 feet to her death off an escalator inside the World Trade Center Oculus early this morning, according to police.
The Daily News reports that Jenny Santos, a New Jersey resident, was riding the escalator with her twin sister at around 5:30 a.m. this morning. Her sister dropped her hat, according to the tabloid, and when Santos attempted to retrieve it, she fell over the railing and down onto the main concourse.
Port Authority police say she was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
