In a "no way that happened" story, an eagle-eyed police officer found a murder suspect sleeping on a subway in Brooklyn last night. A few things that happened to help Officer Thomas Moran make the arrest: A flier that the NYPD distributed earlier that day to alert offiers of Jesse Kennedy; being assigned to roll call, which apparently is a beat (we guess); being on that number 2 train car at 2AM in the morning. Officer Moran made sure a homeless man cleared the subway and that was back up was on the way before he said "Hey, Jesse!" and seeing the sleeping man wake to his name.

Gothamist would like this nabbing-of-a-perp scenario to play out on Law & Order...Detectives Green and Fontana, plus a SWAT team, swarm a subway station in the middle of the night...
