The Queens DA's office has charged a man with possessing and promoting child pornography after a tip from Illinois police that he had a how-to video on molesting children. Dominick Guerra, who lives in Ozone Park and works as a wedding/party DJ, was arraigned yesterday and could face up to six years in jail.
According to the Queens DA's office, the Wheaton, IL police found two videos on the file-sharing site Limewire. One video depicted a sexual act with a four-year-old and the other was the how-to video (complete with examples)--both traced back to 29-year-old Guerra. The NYPD confiscated three computers (including one he shared with his mother and sister) from Guerra's home.
Upon questioning, Guerra also admitted he downloaded other child pornography videos from Limewire. DA Richard Brown said, “The charges are very disturbing. There is a national connection to this case which frighteningly shows the far reach of the Internet in dispensing child pornography. It is imperative that we vigorously prosecute this case so that our children remain safe from predators who share information to carry out their depraved acts.”
Earlier this week, Long Island police arrested a man--who worked part-time as a clown for children's parties--for having an extensive collection of child porn on his computer.
