sun_uv729.jpg Today's high temperature forecasts are in pretty close agreement. Once again Accuweather forecasts the lowest maximum temperature. Could this be a bias in their forecasts? Only time will tell.

There is more disagreement in the humidity predictions. The Weather Service discussion says "NOT A BAD LATE JULY DAY - HUMID...BUT NOT TERRIBLY HUMID!". WCBS 2 echoes that, saying today will be "not too humid". NY1 and Accuweather disagree. The former says today will be steamy while the latter projects a RealFeel temperature of 92. The dew points are expected to be in the mid- to upper-60s which, in Gothamist's mind, makes the Weather Service description the most accurate.

The big story today, though, is not so much the temperature or the humidity but the big yellow guy in the sky. It should be mostly sunny all day. Photo above is the sun in an extreme ultraviolet wavelength from the SOHO (Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) satellite. Enjoy!
