We know... Gothamist isn't in the business of forecasting but we couldn't resist with this weekend being such a big BBQ and outdoor centric holiday. And it looks as if things will be pretty good for both the BBQ and fireworks escaping any chance of rain. The general consensus from a pooling of the online weather sources indicates that Sunday should be Partly Cloudy with a high around 84. Bring the sunscreen as the UV index should be around 9, and drink lots of liquids (besides the beers or.. in addition to them anyway), it may be a bit humid as well. The fair skies should hold out for this years Macy's fireworks display as well.
Historically, July 4th is one of the most deadly times of the year for lightning, so if storms roll in this weekend, no matter where you are, take cover.
We wish you a happy and safe 4th of July. Enjoy your hot dogs, whether you will be eating them at Shea at the Mets/Yankees series, out in Coney Island @ Nathans (try to limit it to under 50 1/2 unless you are a professional), or at your own cookout.
