Building skyscrapers is EASY when sit on your butt and watch it happen through the magical lens of time-lapse photography. Here we have a mildly mesmerizing HD video of 1 World Trade Center being erected down in Lower Manhattan. It was released today by the fine folks at EarthCam, who produced it using multiple webcams. (It's silent, so don't worry about muting it if you're at work.)

And for the time-lapse completist, EarthCam also put together this ten year time lapse of Ground Zero, from the days after the attacks to the completion of the memorial.
