The slow-moving storm has finally left the building! While here the storm dropped more than two inches of rain in Central Park and over an inch at the airports. Central Park's October rainfall total is now up to 5.71 inches, which is more than the last two months combined!

With the storm gone there is no chance of rain today, this weekend, and even well into next week. High pressure is quickly filling the void of the departing low, bringing some gusty northwesterly winds this afternoon. Otherwise it will be sunny with a high in the lower to mid 60s. The winds will be more westerly tomorrow and that will warm us to the mid 60s.

A weak, dry cold front is expected to pass through the region Saturday night. No rain is expected and Sunday should still warm to the low 60s, which is slightly warmer than normal for late October. In fact we should be in for fair skies and warmer than normal weather for much of next week, with highs topping out near 70 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
