The Giants will face their division rivals the Philadelphia "Dream Team" Eagles this weekend, in what is sure to be a major test of Coach Tom Coughlin's hobbled squad. But there's still a big question mark over whether QB Michael Vick will be able to start after going down with a concussion last weekend. Even if Vick does play, he will have to face the Giants' newly-minted resident face smasher, Michael Boley. And if Boley was willing to smash one of the Giants' own interns angelic, trusting faces, we can only imagine what he has in store for Vick.
Boley spiked a football into an intern's face after scoring a touchdown during Monday night's victory against the Rams. Boley, who blamed his lateral throw on the "emotion of the play," ended up hugging it out with video intern Ryan Brown in the locker room after the game. We don't expect Vick will be getting any locker room hugs, nor any community hugs, if he does end up playing Sunday.
And while we normally heartily approve of some casual intern hazing, hitting them in the face might be taking it a bit too far. We generally stick to the classics, such as the old Yankees bat stretcher:
