Dozens of cars at a NJ auto body shop were wrecked by a group wearing KISS masks with stars over the right eye. The rampage reportedly lasted 20 minutes.
The incident occurred at the Saddle Brook Maaco Auto Body Shop last Saturday, March 8. According to the Star-Ledger, "The crew used metal pipes, a shovel, a fire extinguisher and white spray paint to smash and deface cars in the lot, police said. The vandals were apparently spooked when an alarm on a Mercedes Benz S400 sounded, but they quickly returned when it shut off and continued their destruction."
Cliffview Pilot reports: "One of them appears to have a cast or Ace bandage on his left wrist and lower arm. Another wears a New York Rangers hockey jersey." The marauders even chest bump each other. Here's another video:
The total damage is over $40,000. Deputy Police Chief Robert White said, "Our hope is that someone from the public can identify one or all of the ‘hoodlums’ involved in this disturbing and shocking crime, or maybe have heard of them boasting about their most stupid behavior. They may have thought their silly rampage was a joke and funny, but our desire is that they soon learn just how not a joke it is to be locked up in the Bergen County Jail and locked up with colleagues they can further joke with."
