Last month, we dipped our toes into the world of “elimination communication,” aka au natural toilet training. Stephen Colbert was just as taken with the NY Times' trend piece about hipster parents embracing the diaper-free child-rearing method as we were: "Nothing makes you feel more in touch with your baby's most intimate functions than scraping it out of your shoes." As ever, Colbert was able to see the positives in the touchy-feely poopy trend by marketing his own brand of "Kiddie Litter," and noting: "It's a great way to get the ladies room to yourself at Barnes and Noble."

Over in southern China, it seems some folks have taken this trend to its highly illogical conclusion, as Shanghaiist previously reported.
