Police are searching for a man caught on security camera video sucker-punching an elderly woman walking on a Brooklyn sidewalk in broad daylight.
The unidentified 71-year-old victim was attacked in Prospect Lefferts Gardens around 5:25 p.m. on September 19th. Police say the suspect walked up to the woman on New York Avenue between East New York Avenue and Lefferts Avenue and punched her in the face, apparently without any provocation. He then fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in serious but stable condition and treated for a broken jaw. She also sustained lacerations to her mouth which required stitches.
