A 65-year-old man was punched in the face without warning while walking down a Brooklyn street near his home two weeks ago. Now police are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and his companions in hopes of making an arrest.
The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. in Brooklyn Heights. Police say that officers responded to a call about a man who was attacked in front of 99 Joralemon Street: There they "discovered a 65-year-old male victim with a laceration to his left eye." The victim told them "he was approached by three males and one female. One of the males punched him in the face with a closed fist breaking his glasses and causing him to fall to the ground before the group fled in an unknown direction."
Video shows the victim, who was treated at a hospital, falling into the garden bed outside 99 Joralemon after being hit:
The suspect is described as being about 5'10" and 160 pounds, last seen wearing black sneakers and a white t-shirt. Three other people—two males and one female—were also with him.
