Police in Queens are investigating a particularly chilling crime: The theft of a refrigerator.
Investigators say two men broke into a South Ozone Park home on July 15th, breaking and entering through a rear window and then stealing the fridge. The incident took place at 5:40 a.m. at 114-49 135 Street, and video shows two men walking away with the victim's refrigerator.
The pair then fled northbound on 135th Street in a white van with "U-Haul" and "1995" on the side. Police describe the suspects as a man with a beard who was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater and dark colored pants, and the other as a man who is bald and heavy-set, who was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, shorts and dark colored sneakers.
