Police are looking for a man who attempted to rape a woman in South Harlem last week. The incident happened last Sunday, November 25, around 7 p.m. near West 118th Street and Lenox Avenue. A 22-year-old woman was walking alone when the suspect, who was armed with a gun, approached her, threw her to the floor and attempted to rape her. A passerby intervened and the suspect fled. The suspect is described as 30-35 years old, 5'9"-5'10" tall, and he was wearing a black hoodie and a black bubble jacket. Anyone with information in regards to this attempted rape is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
