The police are hoping the public can help them find the driver who struck a traffic agent in Brooklyn last week.
According to the NYPD, the incident happened on Friday, October 23rd at around 10:42 p.m.: In the vicinity of Washington Avenue and Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill, "an on-duty 30-year-old male traffic agent was walking to his marked police vehicle when he was struck by a vehicle that was travelling northbound on Washington Avenue. The vehicle struck the traffic agent causing him to fall to the ground and the vehicle fled the scene."
The traffic agent was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.
Police released surveillance video of the incident and described the car as a "red or burgundy Volkswagen Passat with passenger side mirror damage."

The driver is wanted for leaving the scene of an accident.
