The NYPD has released surveillance video that shows the shooting of a 20-year-old Bronx bodega worker who was shot on Sunday in broad daylight over a loosie cigarette. The unidentified worker, who recently arrived in NYC from Yemen and started work at the bodega that very day, is listed in stable condition. Police are searching for his assailant, described as a 5'9" black male, approximately 30 years old, 165 lbs. Here's video showing the perp's argument with the worker, and the shooting, which happened later:

Investigators say the suspect became enraged after the worker refused to give him a loosey cigarette on credit on Sunday morning around 11 a.m. The man left, but returned later that afternoon with a gun and opened fire. The worker was shot in the hip and is expected to recover. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
