Earlier this morning, the NYPD was investigating a "suspicious device" left in the Flatiron District. Now, the police have released video of the person who left it there, in hopes of getting more information from the public.

According to the NYPD, at around 3:06 a.m., a man approached a telephone booth at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 25th Street and "placed inside a device consisting of a black pipe attached to two pieces of wood with white cord. A flashing red LED light was attached to the device." He then left, walking south on Broadway.

During the investigation this morning, the police held office workers from entering some of the surrounding buildings, and according to the Daily News, "broke up the device with a controlled blast of air."
