Police are looking for a man who impersonated a cop and shot a Bronx man during an attempted robbery. The incident happened on Tuesday October 30th around 5:30 p.m. at 2441 Crotona Avenue in the Bronx. The 41-year-old victim allowed the perp in thinking he recognized him. Once inside, the suspect flashed a police shield and gun, and demanded money. You can see surveillance video of the suspect outside the home below.

The victim refused to give money, and attempted to flee. The suspect shot him one time in the left thigh and fled the scene. The victim was taken to St Barnabus Hospital where he was treated and released. Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
